With the support of the Canadian Embassy Fund for Local Initiatives, in 2016 Social Justice Center implemented a project on “Supporting the Protection of the Rights of Marginalized Groups” by promoting civic education and public discussions. In the framework of the project, Social Justice Center organized activist forum: “Social and Political Aspects of Oppression: Theory and Practice”, which aimed to theorize and contextualize matters related to oppression and critically to reassess strategies and repertoires of existing movements. The forum also aimed to help the activist groups to share their ideas, agendas and challenges and to find out the ability to consolidate resources. Within the framework of the project, translation of important texts and analytic papers was made possible.
