From March of 2021, Social Justice Center (formerly EMC) in cooperation with European Foundation has commenced a project: “Collusion, corruption and conflict of interest cases surrounding Namakhvani HPP Cascade project.”

This project is a collaborative endeavour of Social Justice Center and the media organization Investigative Journalists’s Team „iFact“.  In a 12 month period a team of legal experts and journalists will work jointly to investigate and disseminate information about the cases of corruption and of conflict of interests, as well as possible state-business collusion scenarios involving state entities and Namakhvani HPP implementing parties.  To achieve the stated goal the project sets out specific objectives:

• Objective 1: Possible corruption/collusion/conflict of interest cases involving the ministries, state officials, public entities and private companies have been investigated.
• Objective 2: Information about collusion/corruption/conflict of interests between the private and public sectors have been widely disseminated and communicated with key media organizations;
