Advocacy for improved human rights of conflict-affected communities and enhancement of peace policy in the context of Georgia’s EU integration

The project aims to promote sustainable and coherent peace policy and improvement of human rights protection in conflict regions.

Project objectives are as follows:

Objective 1: Stimulate an inclusive public and political discourse to explore the implications of Georgia’s European Integration for conflict transformation and peace policy.

Objective 2: Advocate for the protection of human rights in Abkhazia through a thorough assessment of human rights violations in the region and active engagement with both the Georgian and EU authorities

Social Justice Centre will study perspectives on how EU integration process can facilitate transformation of peace policy in Georgia is explored and analyzed with involvement of various actors/experts and respective recommendations/input is advocated before political actors. Furthermore, the awareness of public and political actors on human rights situation in Abkhazia will be increased and certain initiatives and recommendations will be presented and advocated in that direction before state and international actors.
