The collaboration between the Social Justice Center and Arnika has been made possible with the support of the Transition Promotion Program of the Czech Development Agency (CZDA).
This cooperation is focused on joint research and advocacy efforts aimed at contributing to the development of a fair and human rights-based resettlement and compensation framework in Georgia’s extractive sector. Specifically, the partnership has addressed issues such as the environmental damage caused by mining activities, the practice of development-induced displacement, the provision of legal aid to communities affected by extractive operations, strategic litigation, and raising public awareness.
