FEANTSA is the European Federation of National Organizations working on issues concerning homelessness. The federation brings together those non-governmental organizations from European countries that focus on tackling homelessness. FEANTSA was founded in 1989. It unites more than 130 member organizations from over 30 countries.
Social Justice Center has been FEATNSA member since 2017.
Main areas of work:
- Ensuring continuing dialogue with the European national and regional governments, as well as institutions to promote the development and implementation of effective measures to end homelessness.
- Conducting research, collecting and disseminating data to better understand the nature, extent, causes of and solutions to homelessness.
- Supporting and facilitating the exchange of information, experience and good practice between the member organizations and relevant stakeholders that have a vision of policies and practices that address homelessness.
- Raising public awareness about the complexity of homelessness and the multidimensional nature of challenges that homeless people face.
