Biography

Mariam Kajaia is a queer feminist activist. She is a manager of community center “Identoba Youth” in Batumi and director of a project “Academy of Annares”. Mariam is responsible for “Mobilizing MSM and Trans Community and Providing Medical and Social Services to Prevent HIV/AIDS”- a project funded by Global Fund. The goal of the program is to mobilize MSMs and transgender women to prevent HIV/AIDS. “Academy of Annares” aims to endow its large audience with a knowledge that is crucial in the process of combating gender inequality through trainings, public lectures and film screenings.
