Bakar BEREKASHVILI
Biography
Bakar Berekashvili is Professor of Political Science and Sociology at the Georgian American University in Tbilisi. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik, at the Masaryk University in Brno and at the Spanish National Research Council in Madrid. His research and teaching interests include critical theory, post-communist politics and society, ruling elites under capitalism and socialism, history of political ideologies, theories of democracy, political theories, contemporary social theories, political sociology and politics of memory in Europe.
